Swim Tech Goals Winter 08

completely differant is good
no wierdness, no change

Dolphin Dips w/arms extended:
-let the arms go down with the head

Snow angel recovery and/or single arm extended modified:
-hips are too low because your kick is not strong enough
-head should be out of the water when hands are at the sides and then yu should slowly lower it as the hands sweep over the surface
-underwater pull after extended dip: when hands are at the sides your upper torso should be in the air (forget forward, go up! for DRILL!!!)
-push straight up out of the water
-stop worrying about going forward, it is a drill

butterfly swim
-the key is how far out in front of your shoulders can you get your hands
-remember: the ideal would be to sweep the arms over the water and not touch the water with them until the hands almost touch
-but you must allow your head and hands together to dive down deeper that what you see on the video where you are coming at the camera (Sprinting)
-allow the body to move forward as you sweep the hands out in the pull, **do not rush pull

backstroke swim
-you should think of yourself as swimmint through a tight pipe, because right throw is far from body
-the left arm is not pushing down enough at the finish to get the right side tilt, but the right arm is pushing down enough
do more sigle arm 3 count left back laps

breaststroke kick drill
-stop with the legs apart and knees almost straight and hold each there for 3 sec

breaststroke
-you are still not high enough out of water, do more of the lift with a drop drill

freestye
-ankles need more flexability, should keep feet pointed inward for more ROM and pointed
-flat
-free kick is almost a 75 degree knee bend at times and feet are way too deep, work on overkicking way out of water
-you are too deep on kick because you are not positioning your head to look down
must seek some wierdness at the front end of free pull, must go down after the entry
